About the course

The Master of Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy develops advanced theoretical, scientific and clinical knowledge of human movement and its links to sport, exercise performance, injury, pathology and disease. Delivered mostly online with short intensive face-to-face blocks, it emphasises evidence-informed, person-centred practice and critical application of assessment and management strategies across diverse athlete and community contexts. This is a master’s coursework degree in physiotherapy.

Career outcome

Graduates can apply advanced sport and exercise physiotherapy skills across professional and community sport, institutes and academies of sport, hospital emergency settings, and government exercise and chronic disease programs. Roles may include sports and exercise physiotherapist for teams or major events, sports medicine or venue medical manager, high performance manager, and advisor on exercise for health. This is a master’s coursework qualification in physiotherapy. Preparing graduates for clinical leadership, health management, and advanced nursing or allied health specialist roles.
