You study contemporary social issues such as trauma, violence and abuse, poverty and exclusion, alongside broader perspectives on equity, power and diversity. Delivered online, the course includes at least 1000 hours of supervised placements and is accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

Career outcome

Graduates may work across health and human services supporting people and communities through complex social challenges. Typical settings include hospitals and community health, mental health and family services, child and youth services, disability and aged care, homelessness and housing, and government or non-government agencies. With supervised placement experience and AASW-accredited training, the degree supports progression into senior practice, program and leadership roles in social work.
