About the course

The Master of Screenwriting develops industry-ready writing skills to create audience-driven stories for visual media. Taught by industry professionals, it focuses on professional screenwriting craft aligned with each student's personal vision, with learning geared towards feature film and television markets. Students participate in storytelling workshops, lectures, classes and screenings, and complete intensive modules in feature film and television writing.

What you might learn

Students build advanced screenwriting capability through structured workshops and intensive writing modules that strengthen story, character, structure and script development. The course aims to develop professional practice through one-on-one mentorship with experienced screenwriters, guiding projects from development through to a completed script. It also builds pitching and industry engagement skills through Q&A sessions with visiting filmmakers and a final industry pitch.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue roles as screenwriters for feature film and television, including writing original works and developing scripts for production companies and broadcasters/streamers.
