About the course
This course explores Earth systems from the solid Earth to the atmosphere, focusing on processes within and between these regions. Students specialise in either the Geology or Atmospheric Science stream and tailor their study through a flexible selection of core and elective subjects. A substantial supervised research project is a central feature, supported by collaboration with leading academics and partner Australian universities.

Students develop advanced scientific and research capability through designing and completing a major research project under expert supervision. The course builds strong analytical, communication and professional skills through optional high-level subjects such as scientific communication, modelling and programming. It also enables students to broaden industry readiness through options like a credited internship in a science or technology workplace.
