About the course
This postgraduate course prepares you to communicate science effectively to different audiences and help bridge the gap between scientific communities and the public. You’ll develop skills to interpret scientific information, craft clear messages, and engage communities around complex issues. The program suits creative graduates who enjoy science and working with people, and is delivered on campus at UWA. This is a Masters degree in Media & Communication. The programme deepens scientific methodology, data interpretation, and applied research skills for laboratory and field-based careers.
Career outcome
Graduates pursue science communication and public engagement roles across organisations that translate or promote science for the community. Career pathways include communications and engagement positions in museums and zoos, government agencies, universities, media organisations, charities, and research groups.
