About the course
UOW’s Master of Research in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences (Physics) is designed to launch your research career through a blend of advanced research training and a substantial thesis. You will join an active research community, work closely with experienced supervisors, and develop the skills to design, conduct and communicate independent research. This is a masters by research focused on physics. The programme strengthens advanced engineering design, systems analysis, and innovation management for complex industry projects.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for research-focused roles in universities, government agencies and technology-driven industries, as well as for progression to doctoral study. The degree builds capability in research design, data analysis and scholarly communication, supporting careers such as research assistant/associate, analyst, laboratory or technical specialist, and R&D roles where evidence-based problem solving is required.
