About the course
UOW’s Master of Research in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences combines research training with a substantial thesis to help you build advanced research capability. You’ll work with experienced supervisors, join an active research community and develop skills in research design, analysis and scholarly communication. This degree is designed as a pathway to higher degree research or research-focused roles in materials engineering. The programme strengthens advanced engineering design, systems analysis, and innovation management for complex industry projects.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue research and development roles across industry and the public sector, or progress to doctoral study. Typical pathways include research assistant/associate positions, materials and process R&D roles, laboratory and testing roles, and technical specialist work in manufacturing, energy, resources and advanced materials.
