About the course
UOW’s Master of Research in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences (Applied Statistics) prepares you for a research career through advanced research training and a substantial thesis. You will work within an active research environment with academic supervision, developing skills in research design, analysis and scholarly communication. The degree builds capability for independent investigation and contribution to knowledge in applied statistics. The programme strengthens advanced engineering design, systems analysis, and innovation management for complex industry projects.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue research-focused roles in government, industry and consulting where statistical modelling, data analysis and experimental design are critical. The program also provides preparation for further higher degree research study and pathways into academic or applied research careers.
