About the course
The Master of Public Policy at the University of Canberra is an applied, contemporary and multidisciplinary program designed to build skills for analysing, designing and evaluating public policy. Delivered fully online, it supports students to engage with real-world government and public sector challenges and strengthen evidence-based decision making. This is a Masters qualification in public policy and governance. The programme builds executive-level capability in strategy, finance, operations, and organisational leadership for global business environments.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles across government and the public sector, including policy officer/adviser positions, program and project roles, and policy analysis and evaluation work. The degree can also support careers in consulting, advocacy and policy roles within NGOs and international or community organisations, where strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills are valued. This is a Masters qualification for public policy practice. Preparing graduates for senior management, consulting, entrepreneurship, and organisational leadership roles.

An IELTS Academic score of 6.5 overall, with no band score below 6.0 (or equivalent).
