About the course
The Master of Public Health (Public Health Practice) is a flexible one-year degree that provides a broad introduction to contemporary public health. It develops analytical and practical skills to design, implement and evaluate public health programs and policy, with an emphasis on sustainable community health practice. Students build research-informed capability and work-ready expertise for roles across government, NGOs and health services in public health practice at master’s level.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles such as public health officer, health promotion practitioner, program or policy officer, project coordinator, epidemiology or research support roles, and community health advisor. Opportunities span public health units, hospitals and local health districts, government agencies, international development and NGOs, and research institutes.
