About the course
The Master of Public Health equips you to investigate, critique and respond to population health problems in local and global contexts. You’ll learn from Menzies School of Health Research experts and build capability in epidemiology, biostatistics and research methods, while developing skills to design and evaluate public health interventions and strategies for complex health and social issues in Master-level public health practice. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles across government and non-government sectors focused on improving community and population health. Career options include health policy and planning, epidemiology, health research, public health practice, and communicable and chronic disease control, as well as community development and aid or humanitarian work. This prepares graduates for Master-level careers in public health leadership, analysis and program planning. Preparing graduates for clinical leadership, health management, and advanced nursing or allied health specialist roles.
