About the course
Deakin’s Master of Psychology (Clinical) prepares graduates for professional practice as a registered psychologist, with a strong focus on evidence-based assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions. You will build advanced clinical and research capability alongside supervised practical training, including placements, to support a smooth transition into professional work. This is a masters-level clinical psychology program. The programme develops advanced psychological assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice for professional settings.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to pursue general registration as a psychologist and build careers delivering psychological assessment and intervention across a range of client groups and settings. Career pathways commonly include roles in public and private mental health services, hospitals and primary care, community health, and related wellbeing organisations, with potential to progress to further specialist training and endorsement pathways. This is a masters-level psychology qualification.
