About the course

The Master of Property combined with the Master of Urban Planning is a double degree designed to prepare students for the built environment industry with strong flexibility across the employment market. It integrates commercial property expertise with urban planning and design capabilities to improve urban spaces through a multidisciplinary approach. Students complete two professionally accredited graduate programs in a reduced timeframe, strengthening employability and broadening career options.

What you might learn

This program develops highly advanced skills to analyse and value property alongside advanced knowledge in property development and management. It builds understanding of Australian and international policy and planning affecting human settlements, and strengthens professional practice capabilities in a property context. Students also learn to respond through planning and design to global urban challenges such as climate change, inequality, community health and safety, and the emergence of city-regions.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue careers across commercial property and urban planning, leveraging dual professional accreditation for broader opportunities in the built environment sector. Career pathways include roles involving property analysis, valuation, development and management, as well as planning and design work focused on improving cities and urban spaces. The combined skill set supports employment with property firms, planning consultancies, developers, and government or agencies involved in urban policy and city-shaping projects.
