About the course
The Master of Professional Psychology at Victoria University is an APAC-accredited pathway designed to complete five years of university psychology training and support eligibility to seek registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. You will develop advanced practice capabilities through in-depth learning and supervised placements, including clinical experience at the VU Psychology Clinic with a culturally diverse community, using face-to-face and telehealth delivery.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to progress toward registration as a practising psychologist by completing the required year of supervised professional internship outside the university. Training and placements build capabilities in assessment and evidence-based intervention across diverse clients and settings, including individual and group formats and telehealth. Career pathways typically include roles in mental health, community and youth services, and clinical practice contexts in psychology.
