About the course
The Master of Professional Psychology provides a fifth year of psychology training for graduates of an accredited four-year psychology program. Delivered online with intensive school components and work-integrated learning, it combines coursework with supervised training and practice in professional settings to support progression toward general psychologist registration via the 5+1 pathway. This is a Master coursework qualification in Psychology. The programme develops advanced psychological assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice for professional settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue provisional registration and then progress toward general registration as a psychologist after completing a Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) approved supervised internship (the 5+1 pathway) and the National Psychology Examination. Once generally registered, you can work across a wide range of practice areas within your scope of competence using the title “psychologist”. This is a Master coursework pathway in Psychology. Preparing graduates for organisational psychology, counselling support, human services, and specialist practitioner pathways.
