About the course
The Master of Professional Psychology combines coursework, a major case study and supervised practical placement to build core competencies for professional psychological practice. You’ll develop skills in ethical and legal practice, assessment and evidence-based interventions across the lifespan, with learning applied through ongoing practicum. Training includes experiences at FedUni Community Psychology Services and external agencies, with at least 300 hours of practicum required for this Masters in Psychology.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply for provisional registration as a general psychologist and then complete a one-year internship pathway toward general registration. Career opportunities span public and private settings, with roles supporting assessment, intervention and research-informed practice. Typical pathways include psychologist roles in clinics and community services, child-focused practice, research psychologist positions, and academic psychology roles in education and training within the Masters-level Psychology profession.
