About the course
UNE’s Master of Professional Accounting is designed for graduates from non-accounting backgrounds seeking professional accounting accreditation. It develops financial and analytical capability alongside research and communication skills to support evidence-based decision-making in changing business environments. You can study online or on campus with full-time or part-time options, preparing for advanced practice in professional accounting at master’s level. The programme strengthens financial analysis, governance, audit, and investment decision-making for professional finance careers.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors where accounting expertise supports strategic decisions. Career options include accountant, management accountant, financial analyst, auditor (pathway roles), business adviser and roles supporting governance, budgeting and reporting. The course also provides a pathway to membership eligibility for major professional accounting bodies through a master’s level accounting qualification. Entry requirements
Entry is based on a bachelor qualification or above (or overseas equivalent), or a UNE Graduate Certificate in Accounting.
