About the course
The Master of Primary Teaching is a two-year postgraduate program for graduates from a recognised bachelor degree who want to transition into primary school teaching. It develops skills in how children learn, assessment and pedagogy across key learning areas, with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy. The program includes pastoral support and 16 weeks of supervised professional experience in schools as part of a Master coursework qualification in Education & Teaching.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to meet the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers at Graduate level and pursue roles in primary education settings. Career pathways include graduate primary school teacher positions across State, Catholic and independent schools, supported by extensive classroom placements and training in inclusive practice, classroom management and culturally responsive teaching.
