About the course

The Master of Photography develops socially engaged photographers who can lead contemporary practice across technological, cultural, environmental and political contexts. You’ll extend your visual language through advanced studio work, critical research and experimentation, supported by industry-standard facilities and peer critique. The program is designed for practitioners seeking to deepen conceptual and professional capability in master-level photography practice.

Career outcome

Graduates may pursue careers as professional photographers and image-makers across editorial, documentary, fine art, commercial and cultural-sector contexts. The degree supports pathways into independent practice, commissioned and collaborative projects, exhibition and publication, and roles within studios, galleries and creative organisations. It also prepares you to lead and adapt photographic practice within evolving visual industries at a master’s level. Preparing graduates for creative direction, digital media production, and advanced design leadership roles.
