About the course
The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a higher degree by research, completed through an independent project in the broad area of information technology. Over two years full time (or part-time equivalent), you work closely with a supervisory team to develop and complete a substantial thesis, or a creative portfolio supported by an exegesis. This masters by research builds advanced research capability in IT & Computer Science. The programme builds computing research capability across algorithms, intelligent systems, and emerging technologies with practical industry relevance.

This MPhil supports careers requiring advanced research and analysis across universities, industry, community organisations and government. It develops capabilities to plan and deliver a significant research project, communicate findings, and contribute original knowledge, and may provide a pathway to doctoral study.
