About the course
This Master of Professional Accounting (Professional Practice) combines postgraduate accounting study with workplace experience. You build contemporary technical and conceptual accounting skills aligned to CPA/CA pathways, develop analysis and synthesis of accounting principles, and complete a capstone research project on theory and current issues. The professional practice component includes preparation for work and an approximately 300-hour placement to apply your learning in an organisational setting.

Graduates can pursue accounting and finance roles across small, medium and large organisations. Career paths may include financial accountant, management accountant, auditor (financial or tax), tax preparer, or business/financial analyst. The degree can also support opportunities in multinational companies and major professional services firms, or provide a foundation to work in smaller practices, broader business management roles, or to start and run your own business in the accounting sector.
