About the course
This Master of Occupational Health and Safety develops advanced theoretical and practical OHS capability to help create safer, healthier workplaces and communities. You’ll build skills in professional, ethical practice and learn to apply evidence-based approaches to solve complex safety problems. The course includes an original research project in the final semester and offers possible exit awards to a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue occupational health and safety roles across mining, oil and gas, manufacturing and construction, as well as corporate, government, health and academic settings. Strong legislative focus on workplace safety supports continued demand for tertiary-qualified OHS professionals. The course is recognised by IOSH (UK), and graduates may apply for IOSH membership and certification with the Safety Institute of Australia in the occupational health and safety profession.
