About the course
The Master of Nursing Science (MNSc) is an accredited program that prepares graduates to become registered nurses capable of delivering compassionate, evidence-based care. The course integrates clinical skills development with nursing theory through intensive teaching blocks and immersive clinical placements in major metropolitan teaching hospitals. Students examine contemporary health challenges including mental health, cancer and cardiovascular disease while building practical competence in real healthcare settings.
What you might learn
The course aims to develop graduates with the clinical capability and theoretical foundation required to practise safely and ethically as registered nurses. Students build critical thinking and confidence by applying learning in real time across simulation and hospital placement environments. It also develops students' ability to evaluate evidence and apply current research to improve patient outcomes and contribute to future-focused healthcare.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue employment as registered nurses across a broad range of healthcare settings, supported by an accredited qualification recognised nationally and internationally. Clinical training and placements prepare students for practice in environments such as major hospitals and services addressing complex health priorities (e.g., mental health and chronic disease care). The program also supports pathways toward leadership and quality improvement roles through strong grounding in evidence-based practice.
