About the course
Areas of research in this research program include: midwifery; mental health nursing; palliative care nursing; wound care; cardiac nursing; clinical nursing education; ageing and aged care, and rural health.The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 9 – Masters Degree by Research. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.
Career outcome
This degree will allow you to pursue research-related careers in higher education, as well as leadership positions in hospitals, research centres, the healthcare sector, and beyond. Successful completion of the Master of Nursing (Research) can also serve as a pathway into a PhD.
