About the course
The Master of Nursing (Pre-Registration) prepares graduates for entry to registered nursing practice by integrating nursing theory with extensive practical training. You’ll study professional nursing, applied sciences, research and contemporary practice while building critical thinking and decision-making skills. Learning includes simulated clinical labs and interactive tutorials, plus 840 hours of clinical placements across a range of health settings, delivered on an extended academic year starting with an intensive January session.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to pursue registration and work as a registered nurse across diverse healthcare environments. The course builds capability for safe, evidence-informed and sustainable care, with experience gained through substantial clinical placements. Career pathways may include roles in acute hospitals, community and primary care, aged care, mental health and other specialist services, with foundations for future leadership and further professional development in nursing at master’s level.
