Develop advanced research capability in nursing through a clinically grounded higher degree research program. You will undertake a substantial thesis on a topic of your choice with expert supervision, drawing on Deakin’s established research strengths in quality and patient safety. Key themes include patient experience, patient safety and workforce development. This Master of Nursing is designed for nurses and midwives aiming for research-focused roles in nursing. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.

Graduates are prepared for research and academic pathways within nursing and midwifery, as well as evidence-informed leadership roles in health services.
