About the course
This dual masters program builds advanced expertise in occupational hygiene and occupational health and safety to create safer, healthier workplaces across industries. Designed for science, engineering and health science graduates, it covers core OHS practice, exposure assessment and risk controls for acute and long-term hazards. You’ll gain strong industry experience through a 240-hour placement and an occupational hygiene research project in health sciences. The programme deepens scientific methodology, data interpretation, and applied research skills for laboratory and field-based careers.

Graduates are prepared for professional roles focused on preventing workplace injury and illness across government, consulting and industry. You can work in occupational hygiene and OHS roles involving hazard identification, exposure monitoring, risk assessment and control implementation across sectors such as resources, manufacturing, construction and health. The combined qualification supports careers as an occupational hygienist, OHS advisor/manager, HSE specialist or safety consultant in health sciences.
