About the course
The Master of Maritime Policy explores the policy, legal and security issues shaping the world’s oceans. Designed for early to mid‑career maritime professionals and those entering the field, it builds understanding of the law of the sea, ocean governance and maritime security. You’ll examine maritime enforcement, environmental law, shipping regulation and marine resources management to address gaps in policy and legal frameworks in this Master-level law discipline.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across government, defence and international organisations where ocean governance and maritime regulation are central. Career paths may include maritime policy advisor, fisheries policy advisor, resource management or foreign affairs policy roles, and work connected to maritime trade and security. The degree can also support legal career directions such as lawyer or barrister roles related to maritime and ocean governance, as a Master-level law qualification.
