About the course

The Master of Management (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) provides foundational training in business and economics alongside specialist study in entrepreneurship and innovation management. The program is delivered on campus at Parkville and is designed to connect students with Melbourne’s entrepreneurial ecosystem through collaboration with the Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship. Students can also pursue practical industry experiences through options such as internships or practicum subjects, including potential overseas opportunities.

What you might learn

Students develop core management knowledge and an understanding of economic and business fundamentals, while building specialist capability in entrepreneurship and innovation. The course aims to strengthen skills in identifying opportunities, developing new ventures, and driving innovation within new or established organisations. It also aims to build industry awareness and professional networks through engagement with entrepreneurial communities, competitions, guest lectures and alumni connections.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue careers as founders or co-founders of new ventures, or as innovation and entrepreneurship-focused professionals within established organisations. The degree supports pathways into roles such as innovation manager, product/venture development associate, business development manager, startup program or accelerator associate, and entrepreneurship/innovation consultant. Opportunities may span startups, corporates, consulting, and innovation ecosystems locally and internationally.

Entry requirements

An undergraduate degree in any discipline. English language requirement: IELTS 6.5 with no band less than 6.0.
