About the course
Bond’s Master of Laws (by Research) is a higher degree designed for law graduates who want to deepen expertise in a chosen specialist area while building advanced independent research capability. You undertake a substantial supervised thesis within Bond’s Higher Degree by Research community, supported by a team-based supervision model, research training and access to research centres and specialist units. This is a research master’s degree focused on Law.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue research-led careers where advanced legal analysis and scholarship are valued, including academia, policy and law reform, specialist legal practice support, or roles in government and non-government organisations dealing with complex legal issues. The program also provides a pathway to further research study and publication through close supervision and engagement with research centres. This is a research master’s qualification in Law. Preparing graduates for legal research, judicial and policy advisory roles, and doctoral study in Law.
