About the course

This course focuses on the impact of evidence-based approaches to the leadership of teaching and learning in schools and other educational settings. It builds capability in instructional leadership using research-informed practice, drawing on leading education scholarship. Delivery is designed for working professionals, with a mix of online and on-campus intensive subjects and opportunities to learn alongside a cohort of education leaders.

What you might learn

Students develop advanced skills to lead improvement in teaching and learning through the use of evidence, assessment data and education research. The course aims to strengthen participants’ ability to evaluate initiatives, make informed decisions, and implement effective instructional practices in real-world contexts. It also supports the development of leadership confidence, professional judgment and collaborative approaches to leading staff and learning communities.

Graduates are prepared for instructional and educational leadership roles focused on improving classroom practice and student outcomes.
