About the course
The Master of Health Sciences (Research) is a thesis-based research degree focused on health sciences, with emphasis on early intervention, rehabilitation and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. You will complete supervised research under at least two supervisors and have your thesis examined by external reviewers. Study can be undertaken full-time or part-time across Notre Dame’s campuses. This is a Master by Research in Health Sciences. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue research-focused roles in health and rehabilitation settings, contributing to evidence-based practice in musculoskeletal injury prevention and management. The degree can support progression to further research study (including doctoral pathways) or roles in clinical research, health services and academic environments where advanced research capability is valued. This is a Master by Research in Health Sciences. Preparing graduates for clinical leadership, health management, and advanced nursing or allied health specialist roles.
