About the course

The Master of Health Research develops advanced capability in health research design and practice, preparing you to plan and deliver a substantial research project. You learn with guidance from Menzies School of Health Research experts and build skills across epidemiology, biostatistics, and quantitative and qualitative methods. With approval, graduates may progress to higher degree research (PhD). This is a Masters programme in Health Sciences. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.

Career outcome

Graduates may pursue roles in health research and professional public health practice across government and non-government organisations. Opportunities can include health policy and planning, epidemiology, communicable and chronic disease control, community development, and aid or development work.
