About the course
This master’s course develops leadership, quality and management capabilities for health professionals working in quality, safety, risk and middle management across acute, community, primary, mental health and aged care settings. You will build the skills to lead improvement and champion change in public or private services, and choose a specialisation in Gerontological Healthcare or Contemporary Mental Health. This is a Master coursework degree in nursing/health management.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue leadership and management roles across health care, social assistance, and public administration and safety. Typical pathways include middle management positions such as Clinical Nurse Manager or Nurse Unit Manager, clinical lead roles in gerontology or contemporary mental health, and management roles in community, regional aged care or mental health services. This is a Master coursework qualification supporting progression in nursing and health service management. Entry requirements
Completion of a Bachelor degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent in a human health discipline and evidence of a minimum of six months work experience in a clinical area associated with the Bachelor degree.
