Master of Geospatial Information Systems

About the course

Flinders’ Master of Geospatial Information Systems is the only postgraduate GIS stream in South Australia, combining science, computing, data analytics, geography and cartography. You build practical and theoretical capability to capture, analyse and communicate spatially referenced data for real-world applications such as environmental management, urban and regional planning, health and social analysis, and natural resource management. This is a coursework master’s in geospatial information systems.

GIS technologies are used across sectors including agriculture, forestry, mining, environmental management, biodiversity conservation, archaeology, health and social sciences.
