The Master of Forests (Advanced) examines sustainable forest science and management in a changing world, linking conservation, governance, restoration, and forest-based products with climate adaptation and mitigation. It is designed for students seeking an interdisciplinary, problem-solving approach that integrates ecological and social perspectives. The program combines advanced coursework with a substantial supervised thesis in Environmental Science. What you might learn
You will build advanced capability to analyse complex forest and landscape challenges and design evidence-based solutions. Study develops skills in interdisciplinary research, quantitative and qualitative methods, and applying specialist knowledge in areas such as biodiversity conservation, forested landscape management, environmental governance, and spatial analysis. The degree culminates in an individually supervised thesis in Environmental Science at master’s level.

Entry requirements

Research may require on-campus attendance across consecutive semesters.
