About the course
This joint degree with Tokyo City University (Japan) prepares students to investigate global environmental problems and evaluate initiatives that support a sustainable society. You will undertake one semester of study at TCU, with an optional two-week internship in Japan. In the final semester you complete research-based units delivered with TCU remotely and supported by ECU staff. This is an AQF Level 9 Master’s (Coursework) in Environmental Science. The programme deepens scientific methodology, data interpretation, and applied research skills for laboratory and field-based careers.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles that address environmental challenges in government, consulting and industry, contributing to sustainability policy, planning and environmental management. The international joint-degree structure and Japan-based study experience can support careers requiring cross-cultural collaboration on environmental initiatives, including project and research support roles linked to sustainability programs.
