This course is designed for aspiring and practising leaders across educational settings. The range of unit offerings will enhance your capacity to act critically, creatively, and innovatively to address the challenges posed in an increasingly complex, diverse, and technologically rich world. You will develop the professional knowledge and skills required to lead in a globalised world and to think beyond borders in order to make a difference. The programme enhances curriculum leadership, pedagogical innovation, and educational policy understanding for professional educators.
Career outcome
These course outcomes are aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework level 9 and Monash Graduate Attributes. Upon successful completion of this course it is expected that students will be able to:1. examine relationships between leaders and educators and between leadership and learning within organisations 2. evaluate a variety of leadership concepts and various models of leading professional and community learning areas of specialist knowledge3. Preparing graduates for education leadership, instructional design, and advanced teaching specialist roles.
