About the course
This Master of Education (School Guidance and Counselling) develops specialist knowledge and skills for educational counselling and guidance roles in school and related settings. You complete 144 credit points including core counselling and assessment studies, option units, and advanced-level research-focused units, with an optional 50-hour school practicum. Delivery is available at Kelvin Grove and online. This is a masters-level qualification in Education & Teaching.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles supporting student wellbeing and learning through guidance, counselling and psychoeducational assessment in education contexts. The course supports work in schools and related youth and student-support services, and includes an optional practicum to build applied experience.
