About the course
This master’s degree prepares you to practise acupuncture by integrating Chinese medicine principles with Western biomedical science. You’ll build clinical reasoning and practical skills for treating a range of health conditions, supported by evidence-informed approaches and supervised clinical learning. Study on campus at RMIT’s Bundoora location in a focused postgraduate coursework program in health sciences and acupuncture. The programme deepens scientific methodology, data interpretation, and applied research skills for laboratory and field-based careers.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue professional practice in acupuncture and related allied health settings, applying integrated assessment and treatment approaches informed by both Western and Chinese medicine theory. Career pathways may include work in private clinics, multidisciplinary practices, and broader health services where acupuncture is used for pain management and other conditions. This is a master’s by coursework qualification in health sciences and acupuncture. Preparing graduates for research scientist, laboratory leadership, and specialist technical roles in the sciences.
