About the course
This master’s by research builds a strong foundation in research methods before you complete a supervised thesis, with a focus on health and sport-related areas. You study research methods, ethics and project design, then progress to an independent research project aligned with VU focus areas and your interests. The degree supports developing advanced research capability at AQF 9 within health and sport contexts. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.

Graduates can apply advanced research skills across health, sport and related sectors, supporting roles in research assistance, project coordination, program evaluation and evidence-based practice.
