About the course
Flinders’ Master of Accounting and Finance builds advanced capability across accounting and finance for professional practice. You study accounting fundamentals alongside finance topics such as taxation law, investments and portfolio management, and new venture finance. Designed with input from industry and aligned to professional body expectations, it supports career change or progression and can be studied in person at the City campus or online as a master’s coursework degree in accounting and finance.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across accounting, audit and finance functions in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Potential careers include accountant, auditor, budget analyst, compliance or credit analyst, forensic accountant, investment analyst, taxation consultant, finance manager or chief finance officer, including opportunities in banking, financial services, advisory firms, government and self-employment. This master’s coursework degree prepares professional pathways in accounting and finance.
Entry requirements
Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification. The Master of Accounting and Finance is not available to applicants who hold an Australian accredited degree in accounting.
