About the course
The Monash Advanced Preparation Program is an intensive single semester pathway for successful year 12 graduates who narrowly missed the entry requirements for their desired Monash undergraduate degree. Students will undertake studies in Academic Communication and three other units aligned to their destination degrees.You can choose from a range of subjects aligned with your preferred degree, covering all 10 faculties at Monash University. The program builds on your existing knowledge, sharpens your academic skills, and prepares you for success in your first year of university.
Career outcome
This program is designed as a pathway rather than a direct career qualification. On successful completion, students are better prepared to progress into eligible Monash undergraduate degrees, having strengthened academic communication, study skills and foundational discipline knowledge. The main outcome is improved readiness and competitiveness for first-year university study through a Foundation Studies pathway aligned to future degree and career goals. Supporting progression into undergraduate degree programmes in the chosen discipline.
