About the course
Foundations at VU is a fully funded, 16-week preparatory program designed to help you transition into higher education study at Victoria University. You’ll build core academic skills for planning, researching, writing and presenting assessments to university standards, improve critical thinking and use of learning technologies, and gain confidence and familiarity with VU support services. This Foundation Studies program supports progression to undergraduate or diploma study across disciplines.
Career outcome
This course is a pathway program rather than a job-qualifying award, helping you prepare for successful entry into a VU undergraduate degree or higher education diploma. You’ll strengthen academic literacy, communication, critical analysis, research and digital study skills valued across most industries and study areas. Completing this Foundation Studies program can support progression into further tertiary qualifications and broaden options for future study and career directions in a range of fields.
