About the course
UOW College’s Foundation Studies (2 Sessions) (Stream 1) is a pathway program for students who don’t yet meet direct entry for a UOW bachelor degree. Across two 14‑week sessions you build core academic skills such as time management, essay writing, teamwork and presentations, while learning university expectations and standards. Successful completion provides guaranteed* entry into the first year of a range of UOW degrees aligned to Stream 1. The programme builds core academic English, study skills, and subject fundamentals for university degree entry.
Career outcome
This program is designed as a preparatory pathway rather than a direct career qualification. Completing Stream 1 can enable progression to undergraduate study in areas such as arts, business, computing, IT, communication, psychology and social science at UOW. Career outcomes depend on the bachelor degree you enter after the pathway, supporting future roles across professional, creative, analytical and community-focused sectors. This is a Foundation Studies pathway aligned to Stream 1 disciplines. Supporting progression into undergraduate degree programmes in the chosen discipline.
