About the course
The Diploma in Tourism and Travel Management programme develops the knowledge and practical skills needed for roles in the tourism and travel sector. It covers tourism-focused areas such as travel technology and attraction/themed destination content, alongside business foundations including management, marketing and entrepreneurship. Students also gain exposure through practical work, training, field trips and the planning of vacation packages with guidance from lecturers and industry input.
What you might learn
Students will learn core tourism and travel operations such as ticketing, destination geography, tour package development and the use of travel technologies. The programme aims to build professional and managerial capabilities through supporting studies in marketing, management, entrepreneurship and service-industry people management. It also develops applied workplace readiness through practical activities, case studies from industry speakers and an internship component.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across travel agencies, tour operations, destination organisations and corporate travel services. Potential roles include tour operator/executive, travel consultant, travel agency executive, tourist bureau executive and destination development specialist. The programme also supports careers in incentive travel and corporate travel functions, strengthened by practical training and industry engagement.
Entry requirements
SPM / O-Levels/ UEC or equivalent with a minimum of 3 credits. Applicants who possess other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
