About the course
Kickstart your career in sport with La Trobe's Diploma of Sport Coaching and Development. In this diploma, you will study between La Trobe's Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus and Carlton College of Sport at Ikon Park – home of the Carlton Football Club. You will develop skills in sport coaching, inclusive coaching, exercise programming, sport science, nutrition and professional communication through classroom and practical learning in the field. You will also have the opportunity to build real-world experience and connections through 100 placement hours as part of your course.

Graduate with the skills you need to engage with diverse populations, including individuals across different abilities, cultural backgrounds, genders and life stages. Possible organisations include: sport academies schools sport-focused businesses sport governing bodies (all levels). Note: Local, state and national governing bodies for sport require additional entry requirements for coaching accreditation at all levels. Preparing graduates for skilled employment, traineeships, and pathways to higher qualifications.
