About the course
The Diploma of Science Fast Track (International) is a UOW College Australia pathway that builds core study skills and foundational science knowledge for university success. It offers guaranteed entry (subject to conditions) into second year of a UOW Bachelor of Science (all specialisations) or Bachelor of Marine Science. Delivered on campus in two 14-week sessions, it also awards a Higher Education Diploma while preparing you for undergraduate study in science. The programme develops laboratory safety, sample handling, and basic analytical techniques for technical roles.
Career outcome
This diploma supports entry into science-related study and employment by developing foundational capabilities across key science disciplines and preparing you for higher-level university learning. Graduates may pursue roles such as laboratory assistant, field or environmental technician, or science support officer, depending on further study and interests. It is primarily designed as a Diploma-level pathway into undergraduate science degrees at the University of Wollongong.
