About the course
The Diploma of Information Technology (ICT50220) builds practical technical skills and an extended understanding of working in the ICT industry. You’ll develop capability across areas such as IT support, networking and programming, while also learning how to approach and manage ICT projects. Delivered online in a clustered unit model, it is designed for completion in one year full-time (or part-time over a longer period) as a Diploma in IT & Computer Science. The programme delivers hands-on programming, networking, and technical support skills for IT employment.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles such as IT Support Officer, System Administrator, Network Administrator and IT Office Manager. The qualification prepares you for moderately complex work in specialist IT areas, operating independently or as part of a team, and sometimes leading deliverables for clients or employers.
