About the course

The Diploma in Information Technology (Online) is a flexible, fully online pathway into IT study and work. Designed for students balancing other commitments, it builds foundational knowledge across core IT areas and supports those returning to study or entering university for the first time. On completion, you may articulate into an associated ACU bachelor’s degree with credit for up to the first year, or graduate with a standalone Diploma in IT & Computer Science. The programme delivers hands-on programming, networking, and technical support skills for IT employment.

Career outcome

This diploma develops entry-level capabilities to support roles in IT support and junior technical pathways, while preparing you to progress into further university study. Graduates may pursue opportunities in areas such as help desk support, basic systems and data administration, and junior cybersecurity or programming-focused roles, depending on further study and experience. It also provides a pathway to bachelor-level qualifications in IT & Computer Science. Preparing graduates for IT support, junior developer, and systems assistant roles, or degree articulation.
